The STIHL MS 462 C-M is a lightweight professional petrol chainsaw built for demanding forestry work, including felling and delimbing, as well as professional use in landscaping, horticulture and agriculture. Sitting in the 70cc class, it combines a powerful 72.2cc STIHL 2-MIX engine with a strong 4.4kW output, giving professional users serious cutting performance with an excellent power-to-weight ratio.

At just 6.0kg, the MS 462 C-M is designed to stay agile during long, demanding jobs. It accelerates quickly, holds consistent power under load, and is well-suited to felling and delimbing medium-density and high-density timber.

The fully electronic STIHL M-Tronic engine management system helps deliver reliable starting and optimal performance across changing conditions, while the long-life air filter system with HD2 filter supports longer intervals between cleaning — particularly useful in dusty forestry and agricultural work.

Designed for practical use in the field, the MS 462 C-M also features side-mounted chain tensioning, captive nuts on the sprocket cover, tool-free fuel caps, manual decompression, STIHL anti-vibration technology, and optimised bumper spikes for a firm hold in the cut.
